Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions: What to Expect + What to Wear 💕
Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating love — whether that’s with your partner, your kids, your besties, or even just yourself. This year, I’m offering Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions designed to be fun, stress-free, and full of variety, all while giving you timeless images you’ll actually want to print and share.
These minis are short, sweet, and perfect if you want beautiful photos without committing to a full session.
What You’ll Receive From Your Mini Session 💕
During your Valentine’s mini session, I’ll be using both Valentine setups, giving you a mix of soft, romantic images andfun, playful ones. This means more variety and more moments captured in a short amount of time.
After your session, you’ll receive an online proof gallery with approximately 30 edited images to choose from.
✨ Your session includes:
• Choice of 4 favorite images to download
• Option to purchase additional images or the full gallery if you fall in love with more (which usually happens 😌)
This gives you flexibility — you only buy what you truly love, while still having plenty of beautiful images to choose from.
The Two Valentine Setups ✨
One of the best parts of these mini sessions is that you’ll get two completely different looks in one short session, giving you variety without feeling rushed.
💕 Setup One: Soft & Romantic
This setup features a blush pink backdrop paired with soft white florals and elegant draping fabric. The overall feel is romantic, cozy, and timeless. It’s perfect for capturing sweet moments — cuddles, gentle smiles, and those in-between connections that feel natural and emotional.
This setup works beautifully for:
• Couples
• Families
• Siblings
• Elegant solo portraits
The vibe is classic Valentine’s Day — soft, warm, and full of love without being over the top.
💘 Setup Two: Fun, Bold & Playful
This setup brings the fun Valentine energy. With heart-shaped balloons, pops of red and pink, and playful “XO” accents, it’s bright, modern, and full of personality. This is the setup where laughter, movement, and playful poses shine.
This setup is great for:
• Kids
• Siblings
• Best friends
• Fun couples
• Playful solo portraits
It’s lighthearted and perfect if you want something more bold and energetic to balance out the softer look of the first setup.
What to Wear for Your Valentine Mini Session
Choosing outfits doesn’t have to be stressful. Here are some easy tips to help you look amazing in both setups:
Best Colors to Wear
• Cream, white, blush, beige
• Soft pinks or muted reds
• Light gray or tan
• Denim for a casual pop
• Neutrals with one Valentine accent color
These tones photograph beautifully against both the soft pink backdrop and the bold Valentine décor.
What to Avoid
• Neon colors
• Busy patterns or logos
• Bright green or yellow
• Clothing with heavy text
These can be distracting and pull attention away from faces and connection.
Outfit Tips
• Keep outfits coordinated, not matching
• Layers add dimension (cardigans, jackets, sweaters)
• Dresses and flowy fabrics photograph beautifully
• Kids can wear fun Valentine colors, but keep it simple
• Shoes matter — neutral shoes photograph best
If you’re unsure, I’m always happy to help you choose outfits ahead of time.
